My background
A coach, facilitator and former public sector and consultancy leader who has spent decades helping technical people become humane leaders. I trained in London with international expert coaches and hold an ICF credential; I also have a PhD from Oxford and a deep, lived familiarity with scientific cultures and the ways they both support and limit people.

I’ve led teams, run workshops and designed leadership pathways for people moving from specialist technical roles into broader leadership responsibility. I blend practical leadership tools with practices that help you reconnect to body, breath and voice, so you can lead with presence, not just logic.

Qualifications & experience
-
ICF-credentialed coach (ACC); Diploma in Coaching (Coaching Development)
-
PhD (Oxford D.Phil): lived experience of academic and scientific research cultures
-
senior leadership experience in the public sector (Environment Agency) and private consultancy; designing and delivering leadership programmes and change work
-
decades of practice with techniques drawn from acting, voice, fitness and mindfulness, that amplify presence and confidence.
My approach
I design individualised coaching and programmes for people who are (quite rightly) sceptical of ‘touchy-feely’ approaches. We start with the work you must do: influencing, decision-making, stakeholder communication, team performance. Then we gently build habits of presence and self-awareness that make the practical work easier and more sustainable.
We will uncover and refine your personal style. Expect experiments, real-world practice, and measurable impact.
What people notice quickly
clearer messages, braver conversations, less anxiety, more contentment, greater confidence.
